Our Company History
Tyko Development is a Vancouver based fully integrated real estate developer guided by our core values of family, integrity, vision and innovation.
Our co-founder, Ken (P.Eng) worked as a project manager in urban planning for the city of Vancouver for 10 years. He had a dream to build homes and run his own company. In 2011, he teamed up with his brother-in-law Jack, a home renovator and together they founded Tyko Development. Tyko is a family business with family values always willing to help others out. We learnt the industry from the ground up. Starting with only 1 residential home to now where we complete 10+ homes a year and have begun developing mixed used commercial properties.
Check out Block 36 to see our flagship mixed-use commercial building. It is part of the revitalized Victoria Drive.

Our Leadership Team
Ken Nguyen, P.Eng, General Contractor
Ken is the founder of Tyko Development Ltd. He earned his B.Sc in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta. While working at the City of Vancouver, he was a Project Manager in Urban Planning. After 10 successful years with the City of Vancouver, he realized his true passion was to start up his own company. Ken not only has experience in project management but he has extensive technical knowledge and hands on experience with building houses and mixed-used commercial/residential properties from ground up.
Jack Nguyen, Project Development Director
Jack has over 15 years in the construction industry. Jack has worked in many different aspects of the industry from renovations, general contracting, project management to development. Jack’s focus is to provide outstanding customer service while keeping expenses within budgets and contractors to finish on schedule. His thorough approach allows us to execute each part of the build perfectly from design to finish.
Romeo Bui, Project Manager
Romeo has 5 years of experience as a project manager in the construction industry. Romeo has worked in construction site management within Tyko’s residential and mixed-use developments. His role is to coordinate the whole process, taking care of inspections and logistics.
Leanne Nguyen, Real Estate Advisor
As a real estate professional with over 15 years of experience, Leanne provides insights on how to add value to your house. As a realtor, she understands the real estate market in the city which guides acquisition and development strategies. She focuses her efforts on identifying market trends, and continuously searches for new projects and opportunities.
